Descrizione
The Gretsch G5420T Electromatic Classic Hollowbody gives you that sweet, fresh Gretsch sound as well as the brightness and excellent resonance shaped by a special trestle-block bracing system. A GraphTech NuBone nut and Adjustomatic bridge also help to balance the foundation sound, offering dependable tuning stability while the Classic C-profile neck and the 22 medium jumbo frets of the 12-inch-radiussed fretboard take care of high-level playing comfort. Meanwhile, authentic details such as the small '50s G6120 headstock, the vintage-style open-back tuners and plexi scratch-plate turn the G5420T into a real eye-catcher.
The G5420T: FT-5E Filter'Tron and Bigsby B60 Vibrato
Two potent Filter'tron pickups take care of the amplified sound, where the warmth of a humbucker gets combined with the sparkle of a single-coil pickup and a set of trusty controls, including a special volume pot furnished with a treble bleed function so the trebles retain prominence, even at lower volume levels. Last but not least, and to support tasteful pitch bends, Gretsch have kitted out this gorgeous semi-acoustic hollowbody guitar with a classic Bigsby B60 Vibrato tailpiece.

Mooi instrument. Made in China, en daar is Gretsch fier op: het staat in grote letters op de (achterkant van de) hals. Dat mag ook: goede sound, knoppen en schakelaars die werken, mooie afwerking. Beschermende verpakking was OK. Eerste indrukken zijn positief. Nu nog zien hoe de gitaar veroudert / stand houdt in de komende periode. Natuurlijk is het eerder een gebruiks- dan een beleggingsinstrument. Financiële meerwaarde zal er wel niet inzitten, muzikaal plezier duidelijk wel. Suggestie: op de website duidelijk vermelden dat er geen gitaarkoffer of -zak meegeleverd wordt. Prijskaartje van de gitaarkoffer is overigens erg fors!
I have one of these guitars and they are amazing value for money. One advantage for me is that the strings are widely spaced so that you can fingerpick it like an acoustic guitar, as well as sounding great for electric blues.
Een geweldig mooie Gretsch. Ik had al een Gretsch G5422GT made in Korea die heel erg goed is. Daarom had ik een beetje mijn twijfels bij deze Gretch made in China, Toch maar geprobeerd en deze doet beslist niet onder voor de andere made in Korea. Geweldig mooi afgewerkt, goed afgesteld en een mooi Gretsch geluid. Ik ben er dik tevreden mee.
Weer goed verpakt en snel geleverd door Bax.

Heel mooi afgewerkte gitaar, de FilderTron pickups klinken echt geweldig en de mogelijkheden met de knoppen zijn heel divers. In het begin getwijfeld over de Streamliner of Electromatic serie, maar na het proberen toch voor de Electromatic gegaan omdat deze beter functies hadden en er ook nog eens veel beter uitzag! De Bigsby tremolo werkt ook heel soepel en is een leuke toevoeging.
Enige minpunt was de strapbuttons, deze dienen er opgeschroeft te worden, maar de uiteinden van mijn straps waren te dik. Ik heb dit opgelost door Fender strapbuttons aan te schaffen en deze er op te schroeven en die werken perfect nu! Ook merkte ik dat de schakelaar knop los kon draaien, maar met een beetje teflontape op het draadeind was dit ook opgelost.
Kortom, erg fijne en mooie gitaar!
